Amigurumi Springbook

Hello all!

Over the past month or so I have been having a conversation with another crocheter via Ravelry messages regarding my amigurumi Springbok pattern.
Laetitia made the springbok for a friend’s baby daughter because the friend is originally from South Africa.
She messaged me because she was having trouble with the pattern and I was actually a bit despondent because I had already reworked the entire pattern and really didn’t feel like dealing with more problems.
As much as I love the way the springbok looks I have actually started really disliking the pattern because of all the negative feedback I had been getting, both via Ravelry and via email.

Anyway, at the beginning of the week Laetitia sent me some photos of her completed springbok!
And I love it!
So I asked her if I could share it with you all and she said yes.

Thank you for sharing your springbok with me! It really has changed my view towards the pattern and I am now proud of having designed it again!

I hope you will give the pattern a try as well!

And please don’t hesitate to ask me for help with any of my patterns… I am always willing to offer advice <3

You can find the springbok pattern here.

  1. Thank you, this is so cute! I am a South African Grandma and you can guess what my grandchild will receive for Christmas!

  2. I’m so glad you received the photos of the finished project! Though I haven’t seen your pattern, I can only imagine your frustration! The wonderful thing is, that you have seen good come out of it all! The finish The finished product is so cute and I can only hope that you will keep designing and creating beautiful patterns!

  3. It’s awesome! I am also South African and would love to try this, perhaps experimenting with colours but keeping the green and gold scarf. Too cute.

  4. Er ist auf meiner Do-to-Liste… auch wenn es vielleicht noch ein paar Jahre dauert, bis ich ihn tatsächlich mache…
Zuerst ist das Nashorn dran 🙂
